Message to IDFC
I first met IDFC at the online Japan–Myanmar Student Conference held on February 28, 2021, in the wake of the coup. IDFC’s commitment to bringing students together with their peers from Myanmar is, of course, one of its strengths. Equally valuable is the effort members make to learn about Myanmar’s situation and culture, and to understand the circumstances facing young people of their own generation.
Most recently, at the student conference in Bangkok in March 2026, I was moved by their practical approach, including workshops focused on solving problems. As someone with more experience in working life, I hope to support these students as they overcome difficulties and build connections that will have a positive influence on their lives and futures.
